No alarm setting on Versa 2

  • Had a Versa 2 for a few years and it died on me this morning so bought another Versa 2 straight away. All.synced up set up and there is no alarm capability. Searched these forums but all advice is naturally relating to how to use the alarm, not what to do if one is not there.  Used the help function and was told my software wasn't the latest update, and there was no way of knowing when update would be available and I must just be patient please. So my old Versa was more up to date than new one?? I rely on this alarm so much to get up at 05:00 for work as I'm hard of hearing and the vibration wakes me up. What a ridiculous situation for a watch. I would have gone with another brand if I'd known. So annoyed.

Probably correct in that older V2 had more current firmware than new one, but new update should come in a few days.  I imagine once Fitbits are manufactured and put in warehouse, there is no easy way to get them continually firmware-updated, especially since they are not connected to an account.

If that really makes you wish you had got with another brand, you probably can still return it, assuming you bought from an authorized dealer.  However, I wouldn't be surprised of most or all brands don't have the same issue of not keeping all manufactured watches automatically updated with latest firmware, unless they don't get firmware updates.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
