No heart rate on watch

My Versa 2 stopped displaying any heart rate on the watch 2 days ago. Also the app is showing my BPM either at 87 (but not beating!) or nothing at all. I was shown with a blank graph for most of yesterday and today. Most disconcerting as I’ve done 2 HIIT sessions and run 5 miles! I’ve rebooted the watch and disconnected the device from the app, all to no avail. Anyone else struggling with the same?

I'm reaching here, but...

 

Do you have a flashing green light on the back of the device when you first take it off? If should go off by itself after about five seconds.

 

Even if you do, have you tried going to the "Settings" app on the device and scrolling down to "Heart Rate - enables heart rate features" and make sure it is set to "On" and not "Off"?
