I get the text message notifications on my Samsung Galaxy S5 just fine, and I see my quick texts for the Fitbit Versa on my Fitbit app on my phone, I even changed one to a custom "lol". But once I receive a message I have no option to reply. Is my Samsung Galaxy S5 really not compatible with my basic text messages to reply with the quick response or emoji on my Fitbit?

@Asher32, this is a recent update. Have you made sure that you have the latest version of the Fitbit app?
Sense, Charge 5, Inspire 2; iOS and Android

It's great to see you around @Asher32 and @Julia_G thanks for stopping by.
Could you please be more specific about the issue you are having with your watch? Aren't you seeing the option to reply to the notification you receive? In the meantime, I recommend taking a look at this post to have more information about this feature.
Hope to hear from you soon.

I believe I have the updated version of the fitbit app. I have a samsung galaxy s5 and when I get a text message notification on my versa it only gives me the option to clear the messages. I have no reply option. They said that because my phone goes off of 6.0.1 version I can not reply via fitbit versa, only on my cell phone like a normal text message. Which just sucks because I wish I could use my fitbit versa's full potiental. Just hoping that the versa comes put with an update that will use phones with 6.0.1 versions also. So I don' have to buy a $600 phone on top of a basically $200 step trAcker and clock!

I am running the same version, and can't reply either. I am very disappointed so far with the versa. The main reason I decided to get it was the text option

I had the exact same issue and I was running 6.0.1. After hours of headache I ran across your post. Thanks for posting! Otherwise, I'd still be beating my head against the wall. I sold the Fitbit after one week and now I'm back to my old Pebble. I'll hang on to it until it dies. Regardless if I upgrade phones, I'll never purchase a Fitbit again.

To AlexandraFitBit or any Fitbit Moderator who could officially address this issue. I also have a Galaxy S5, with software version 6.0.1. Does Fitbit plan on finding a solution to phones that are having these issues...When you receive a text message (and want to quick reply) but do not have an option to do so...Just the ability to clear the message. One of the key features of the Versa is the ability to give a quick response - when you are in the middle of exercise or whilst driving. If this feature is null and void (with no intention to fix this issue) I will have to return my versa, as its Smart Watch features become useless with my phone. After spending $200+ for an Activity Tracker/Smart Watch, I do not want to have to buy a NEW Phone that will cost in upwards of $600. Please if someone could officially address this issue here, so I know whether or not to return my fitbit versa and just a used Alta HR. Thanks for your time.
