No phone or text calls or message on watch

I know it's a new watch but tried everything to obtain text and phone calls on it. There is no menu items for these in the device notification settings??  Everything worked well on Zenwatch 3 (sent it back) and worked perfectly on Pebble steel but I've spent all afternoon trying to get it to work  no luck. Any help?

I am also not getting any notifications. I even tried to "sent a test notification" and I haven't received anything. Eager see what other people have tried.

Also will not allow my own emails .appears it only let's get mail from Gmail or did I miss something $

Yes  I've played with all the notification menus I can find  sadly nothing works  I guess I've got to find a smart watch and not  fitness tracker with some bits stuck on that really do not work .

So I have a Pixel 2 and I actually turned off Auto-Sync as it kept not syncing and messing up the blue tooth. Since I did that, it's been giving my notifications.

I'm not getting any notifications either. I thought I had it switched or I'm not getting any notifications but no, I am.

Since I have turned off All Day Sync, my watch is continuing to sync every time I open the app and I am now continuously (as off the last 24 hours/since I bought it) receiving all notifications that I chose to allow to go through.

if phone is on silient there isn't any way to get notifications. This is a new thing with fitbit as this didn't happen on the ionic and no the versa. I will return the versa if this isn't fixed. Who wants their phone ringing at work??  Part of the reason to have a smartwatch is so you don't have to look at your phone.

I had the same problem and i found these instructions worked for me

BUT

it didnt work the first day, only after using it on the second day the apps appeared in the notifications section in settings. The first day this had 0 apps there that i could turn notifications on for.

however once you fix this problem you will find that the notifications dont wake the screen so you cant see them anyway!
