No support for a versa that’s 3 month out of warranty

A device that cost me thousands Rands... I am told that even though it is only 3 months out of warranty cannot be repaired.

 

i am a gadget freak and this is the first time I have been told that there is no support option - even though almost every other tier 1 manufacturer has this option. 

the final answer was that I should buy a new one - why would I buy another product from a manufacturer that believes so little in their own product that they refuse to stand by it.

 

that was the last product I ever buy from FitBit - and I’ll be sure to share this experience far and wide!

In December 2018 I Purchased a FitBit versa - in South Africa 
3 months out of warranty it has failed.

FitBit do not offer any kind of repair of pay for exchange option. We have been told to buy a new one at full price.

For two weeks now we have been escalating to resolve the matter with FitBit - we cannot get any response from them with regard to escalating the case, the local distributor (core) does not respond to posts and email.

 

Their approach and unwillingness to stand by their product which costs thousands of rands is unacceptable.

the case was opened under my work email address. Thank you as well for directing me to the standard warranty link, it is now the 12th time I have received that information.

 

i am challenging a poor product build and an unacceptable warranty, based on the fact that FitBit is irresponsible in as far as not providing OOW repair (billable) options. Thus making their products disposable by nature!!!!

 

they are expensive and this means they are a bad investment.
