No swimming option

I bought the Versa Lite for swimming, and it does say in the fitbit app that swimming will be automatically detected, but there is no option in the exercise selection for activating swimming manually from the watch. I've found the section in the app where I can choose up to 7 exercises to add to my Versa Lite, but swimming is not on the list. I don't understand why it's not there. I want to be able to manually select it and view it while swimming rather than just auto track and view afterwards.

I had the charge 2 for three years, and this is my first upgrade. I'm familiar with navigating the app, but I still can't figure it out.

Hope someone can help. I checked for updates, and both the app and the device have the latest versions.

@Zoe-Adele   I found this Help article: How do I track my swims with my Fitbit device?   There is a section that lists the swim options for each device.  According to the article, Swim isn't a shortcut for the Versa Lite.  I don't know why.
