It seems Fitbit recently offered a Beta of the Noise/Sleep monitoring app for Versa 2, which got a lot of people signed up to Premium, but then said…
“…Our team worked on this situation and got it resolved so the Snore and Noise detection feature isn't available on the Fitbit app when using your Versa 2. I'm sorry for the inconvenience this has caused and please know your feedback won't go unnoticed as it'll help us to improve our features, and make Fitbit more useful for you.”
So, apparently the Versa 2 is technically capable of this functionality - it’s just something they’ve decided not to let Versa 2 owners have.
Now, if so many people signed up for Premium as a result of this feature it’s obvious that what would ‘improve your features’ and ‘make Fitbit more useful for us’ is to give Versa 2 users access to this feature.
Fitbit, please do that, rather than trying to make us upgrade our devices by decommissioning them and making them redundant. It’s a Versa 2; not an iPhone 2. Don’t be that company.
