Not counting stairs when on stairclimber

If you are holding hand rail steps often are not detected because the arm is not swinging as when walking.  If have to hold rail with both arms, can put tracker in pocket or pinned to clothing and probably get better step count, but then miss out on heart rate data during that time.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Fitbits have an altimeter, which counts only how high up you go. It won’t recognize steps on a treadmill because you’re not moving upward. Sorry😕

Sorry, I meant on a stair climber, not a treadmill.
