Not getting notifications for app in secure folder - works when it's not in folder

Hello.  I am getting all my notifications except from an app that I have in a secure folder (private mode).  If I keep the app out of the secure folder, notifications come to my Versa.  But if I have it in the secure folder, it just pops up on my Android, not my Versa.  I have everything set to notify and it's not an app that's put to sleep or turned off with data saver.  I don't know what else to try.

I would guess that anything in the secure folder on private mode wont sync through to the Versa. It is more a function of the phone than the Versa - if it is private it wont be shown on the phones lock screen so wont be transferred to an outside device.

But the notifications DO show on the lock screen. That's what makes no sense.
