Not getting text notifications on the Versa

I am not getting my text messages on my versa. It worked when I 1st set it up for about the 1st couple messages and now I get nothing. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the app, restart my versa, and nothing is working. I get all the other notifications though

Thanks for the suggestion, but that one wasn't it.  I got on the phone with Fitbit and reset everything (and reinstalled the app) and get some notifications now, but the Versa doesn't vibrate when the notifications come in.  I think it's probably just a bum unit, so now I'm waiting for Fitbit to contact me via e-mail so I can send it back for a warranty replacement.

 

And if that doesn't work, I'm going to Garmin when my Blaze completely dies.  The Versa has just been such a hot mess and a real pain, and the "Twitter Support" that Fitbit has were quite horrendous, two wasted days trying to get help and they finally left it at "well you're on your own" without even troubleshooting anything.  Thankfully phone support was more helpful.

How did you get it to work Scooley17? I can re'cvd notifications from the other apps, but not my text messages. I have the S9 it was working fine. Just suddenly it stopped. like i said i can get all the other

notification except my text. Can you please tell me how you fixed yourS?

Same here. Getting all notifications except text messages. Using samsung note 9. The messages app. Was working just fine a few months back. Looks like an android or fitbit app update caused it.

I am having the same issue. I can get all notifications on my Versa except text messages. Text messages worked just fine up until about a week ago. I have done all resets, redownloaded app, etc. Hope they get it fixed, cuz I'm not too happy about it not working. I have a Samsung S9.

I'll be completely honest, I gave up and just sent my Versa back.  After all these years I switched to Garmin and got a Vivoactive (for the same price) and holy cow it's a WORLD of difference.  Everything the Versa should have been and more!  So that's how I solved the not getting notifications and Fitbit basically telling me I was on my own...

Following the "accepted solution" did NOT work for me. I decided to uninstall the app and reinstall. I am now getting notifications from the messages app like I used to. But, since it's sooo buggy, I don't know for how long it will keep working. I'm researching alternative watches now.

I have reset watch and phone - deleted all bluetooth devices - opened a case (#31023999) and nothing.  Crickets....still not working.  Has not been working since June 28th!

Jeff, I tried that, didn't work for me. What I find odd, is, I've had it my Versa for 8 months now with no problems at all. I loved it, till the last week or so when the messages stopped coming in. It is unacceptable if FitBit can't get it fixed. They need to stand behind their products.

When it happen to me 2 days later the old update was back in th app store. I updated to the old firmware,  deleted the Fitbit up reinstalled it and it was working again. As of today am no longer a Fitbit user, I upgraded to galaxy watch. Fitbit doesnt do much to help their customers

Well, It's working for me now. Fitbit had an update to their app. It's been working since I did the update. Crossing fingers it stays that way .

I to have this problem between my iPhone 8 and the VERSA. I get call notifications but nothing else. I only got my Versa last week as a last min. buy. But by the sounds of things I should have done my homework.... Are fit bit any way closer to fixing this ongoing problem as I am tempted to return the Versa and go for SUNTO.

 

Waiting a response FITBIT.....

same here.  iphone 8  - call in - told me it was a software issue with the upgrade iphone had recently.
