Not getting text notifications on the Versa

I am not getting my text messages on my versa. It worked when I 1st set it up for about the 1st couple messages and now I get nothing. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the app, restart my versa, and nothing is working. I get all the other notifications though

I did. I realized that in fiddling with putting on a new band on my versa
I had held the home button in which brings up a menu to turn on/off
notifications. I had accidentally turned them off. Give it a try. Hold
the left/home button in until that menu comes up and see if your
notifications are turned off.

Hello. I no longer have a Fitbit. To many issues and when u contact support they're no help. Up graded to the samsung watch...Sent from my Samsung Galaxy smartphone.

Yes, but only by sending my Versa back and switching to the Garmin Vivofit.  Totally happy with that code and recommend it if you're in the 30 day return period.

I have the same issue now! I have the Google pixel 2. It seems to be with the new update that I lost text messages. Nothing is turned off because I still get my email notifications and phone calls.

I opened a case with Fitbit and they said they are working on a new update
to send out because a lot of people are having that problem with the latest
update.

I’m getting snap chat notifications and phone calls on my fit bit, just not text messages. I’ve tried everything.

Also updated to the newest software for iPhone, messages are no longer notifying. I’ve done everything that has been suggested including deleting the app, removing the device etc. Nothing has worked..

Hello there so mine ended up being an update issue and they fixed the
update. Have u turned notifications on on ur Fitbit and in the advanced
settings in ur phone and Fitbit app? Also make sure ur phone and watch are
syncing on all day sync and restart both together. Also check for any
updates u may have pending for both your phone and watch.

Everything is updated on both devices and notifications are on everywhere. Again Snapchat and all other notifications come thru, it’s JUST text messages

Are you recieving phone calls? Again what fixed mine was the latest updated
version of my phone and the Fitbit app.

I’m not getting any texting on my versa since the new Apple update. Is there a solution to this problem yet. It’s been awhile already

I had to go back in on my phone and turn on message notifications. For
some reason they got turned off in the update. I was getting phone call
notifications but not messages.

Hi Shelly, I am not sure as far as apple goes but android released a new
update for the fitbit app that fixed the notification issue. Have you
contacted the help line to see if other apple users were having this
problem?

somehow woke up one day and all was back to normal.  I’d tried everything had numerous emails with help desk and tried all their suggestions and one seemed to work.  Don’t ask which one though

I'm using android, had no problems until about a week ago when my messages would sometimes go to my versa but not always. I could restart my watch and it would work again. As of 2 days ago I'm getting everything except text messages on my watch. I have uninstalled/reinstalled the app, restarted my watch, checked permissions in my phone settings, turned off and back on all notifications in the Fitbit app and even reset my watch to factory...nothing worked. No text messages are coming through.

I have owned a Versa for about 2 years and I have finally determined that it does not work. This seems to be dependent on firmware updates??

As of today, Fitbit officially support 55 Android devices - https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/2315. That is out of many hundreds of Android devices currently in use. If you are like me and you do not own one of these 55 devices, Fitbit will tell you that it doesn't mean that it won't work with your watch but you might experience some connectivity issues - For me, this means that I get notifications about half the time, syncing can be 12 hours (or more) behind. Smart Lock works about half the time. This is unacceptable and I no longer use the watch. 

I have contacted Fitbit and they confirm that my phone is not supported and send me a link to a page about reinstalling the phone App and restarting the watch. Or clearing App data and cache - All useless!

I do not understand how Fitbit can sell a device that they fully admit is unreliable on the majority of devices.

Thankfully, I still have my Pebble Time that works great with no problems.
