I'm not going to reiterate what everyone has said about the app "update". But to me it seems to be a form of bait and switch because the functionality is far inferior and the appearance is far inferior, the housing is the only thing that has not changed. There should be a legal component to buying something that turns into something significantly different than advertised--this watch should be renamed Cinderella verse 2.

I have just noticed this change today and am not happy either. Totally 100% agree with you and want it changed back. It was much easier to read/follow before as the sections stood out better. Been using fitbit for years, but maybe it's time for a change!

I switched to Fitbit because I'm in a research study that required it. I wonder how the researchers are doing with the changes? I know as a participant I'm not logging you like prior because I'm less interested and the watch no longer does the calculations that were more useful to me. Initially I welcomed the switch but when they performed the update it simply was not the same watch. I am looking forward to this research being over so that I can go back to my former watch. I wouldn't recommend a Fitbit seeing the power that they have and the indifference. I guess they feel if people air their disappointment on here they won't go online to let others know who may be interested in a smartwatch. After all they're going to need new customers because they're going to lose a lot of us.

I am thinking of trashing my Fitbit and buying something else. Apple is listed as #1, Fitbit #2, and Spade, a newcomer, as number 3. They are on sale right now. I might give them a try.

Same here - just noticed today that the data I use the Fitbit for is no longer available. I can no longer track and compare monthly totals for zone minutes and other data sets, I suddenly now just get 'average per day' or 'average per week'. This is not the data I want - the usefulness of the watch has changed abruptly for the worse.
