Not receiving notifications on Versa 2 with Huawei P20

I keep getting this problem, I have gone through all the troubleshooting tips and guides but my Versa 2 won't show the notifications from my Huawei P20 phone. Very occasionally I will get a notification but after a couple of hours it stops again and it says I need to restart my phone but even after restarting it still shows the same message to restart the phone!

Also sometimes it will count floors but regularly only shows about 5 floors and I know I usually do about 15 a day. 

How can such a main brand have so many problems??

In regards the floors accuracy situation you're experiencing, I recommend you to check: How does my Fitbit device count floors climbed? to learn more about how your Versa 2 counts floors.

I have tried all the troubleshooting tips/instructions and followed all the steps. My phone Huawei P20 is running the latest software the Fitbit app is up to date and so is my Versa 2.
Under Notifications which says the “Notification service not running. A phone restart is required to re-enable notifications on your tracker” I have tried restarting the phone and even powering it off and back on again. The only thing that helps is uninstalling the app and reinstalling but that doesn’t last long. It appears there is a problem with the Fitbit app!

My partner and I are having the same problem and we have the versa 2 and same phone as you .  It's been on going for weeks now , so annoying
