I just purchased my Versa today. Went through the setup process. Everything works except for my text messages are not going to my Versa. I have a samsung galaxy note 5. I have tried everything that I could find to solve this issue. All the steps I tried for the past 3 hours have been unsuccessful. Every time I get a text message my Versa states nothing new here, all caught up. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Its a **ahem**, I would return it if I were you. Been how long and they cannot correct the issue. I have a Pebble Time that works great with Message+, i am returning the Versa and wearing my Time again. Support trying to convince me the watch is working fine, the problem is with the app...no SH(*!!!. Returning it.

What does putting it in pairing mode mean? How do we do that?

Just an FYI for everyone who might still be having problems. The app has been updated several times over the last month or so. About a week ago, all of a sudden the app started crashing, it did it multiple times (5 or 10 or maybe more) during 1 day. So when I got home from work, I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it. The first thing I did after getting signed back in, was go into my notifications, change it to Message+ then grabbed the hubbies phone and sent myself a text, and it came through! I was also able to reply, both the quick reply feature and the emoticon features are now working. I haven't had any other issues with it since. So, try uninstalling and reinstalling and see if it will work for you now like me! 😄 Best of luck!

I have read all of the responses on this item and the issue is entirely with fitbit. It seems the answer is to start filing complaints with the Federal Trade Commission for false and misleading advertising as being able to receive text notifications is core to their marketing. If this issue was related to one type or brand of smart phone it would be frustrating but the message strings show the failure to deliver text notifications from the native messaging app falls on every phone no matter the make or model.
Search for: submit a consumer complaint to FTC or go go the FTC website at ftc(dot)gov(/)complaint

Hold the side button down and swipe the screen. You should get a display that has notifications on/off. Check to see if its off. That's what was wrong with mine.

I didn't have an issue with my text message on my versa until my google pixel 2 updated to the android 10 the other day. I didn't use message+ app I used messages app. Still getting phone messages just not the text messages. Guess I'll just have to wait until they fix this issue.
