Not receiving text messages on my Versa

I just purchased my Versa today.  Went through the setup process. Everything works except for my text messages are not going to my Versa.  I have a samsung galaxy note 5.  I have tried everything that I could find to solve this issue. All the steps I tried for the past 3 hours have been unsuccessful. Every time I get a text message my Versa states nothing new here, all caught up.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am having the same problem with my Samsung Galaxy S7. I have run through all troubleshooting steps 3 times and nothing. Is it just not compatible with Samsung at all?

Notifications worked fine on my S7 until I got the update. Will get email notifications and phone calls, but text notifications suddenly stopped. One hurdle at a time with the fitbit I'm learning. Still waiting for GPS issues to be fixed.

I had this problem as well.  Turns out, it seems to be a problem with Versa and the Message+ app.  Is that what you are using for your text messaging?

I switched my default texting app from Message+ to the stock Android message app on my phone, Message, and then I switched my text messages in my Fitbit app from Message+ to Message.  Ever since then, I have gotten text messages on my Versa without issue.  This worked for me and a few other users... we had a thread on it a few days ago.  Hope this helps!

Tested it and yeah, it's an issue with Message+. Hopefully they fix that soon.

My versa wont work on facebook messenger either. I have anLGG6

I used to get text notifications on my versa using message plus. I still actually get the alerts using message plus after the update. The issue is now they are like disappearing ink or snapchat and only stay on the screen for a second or 2 then the versa tells me nothing is new and you're all caught up. Is this directly related to the update as it wasn't an issue before?

Received a new versa as mothers day gift, very disappointed messenger isn't working with it. Hope they fix this soon

I just got off the phone with tech support. They were unable to figure out
the problem and are forwarding it to a special team. Facebook messenger
does work though.

Everything is working. You haxve to have it in paring mode

Thanks but no it wasn't working with the messenger I was using and others are having the same issue. Had to switch to the Samsung messenger app for it to work.

They told me the same thing. It seems its always something with them. I was
hoping since they bought out Pebble that the smart watch would be
comparable.

devices it has to be in paring mode

I have the Versa Special Edition and am using it with a Samsung Galaxy S7edge and I get all notifications except for text. Have tried regular using regular messages app, not Verizon's Message+ app, and it still doesn't work!  So disappointed -- it was a Mother's day gift and although the fitness portion is good, I wouldn't have had my family spend that much for just a fitness tracker.
