Not receiving time for bed notification

I am not receiving the time for bed notification via Versa.I get the notifications from my phones but my Versa does not vibrate and it does not show the notification that it's time to wind down for bed. Any ideas as to why?

Did you allow Fitbit (the phone app) to send you notification to your Versa in the app notification settings?

Thank you. I didn’t know that. Just assumed that the notification was not sent to the watch itself.

No, I did not specifically set that up as the Versa is vibrating for reminders to move.

The bedtime reminders are turned on in the sleep goals. I assumed (haha) the sleep reminder would function like the reminders to move which vibrates 10 minutes before the hour like it has on all my other Fitbits. I also received sleep reminders with no problems on my other Fitbits.

So the next question is why do the reminders to move function vibrate without enabling notifications and not sleep reminders?

Moving reminders work standalone on the watch, however I have read from support that the Versa doesn't support standalone bedtime reminders, however the phone notification sent to Versa works well enough as a workaround, so I really don't mind.

Thanks for the info.

I am disappointed that the developers excluded the stand-alone sleep remainder from the Versa. Both my Alta's and if I recall my Fitbit charge have the vibration sleep reminder. I do not always have my phone next to me as I don't live and die if my phone is not within reach. Additionally, if Fitbit is promoting the sleep feature as a wellness benefit then you would think having the device remind you and not your phone is a better feature.

The Fitbit developers MISSED the mark on this one and need to rethink this and add the feature back into the Versa.

Thanks again Taijitu for sharing the information...appreciate your help.

How do I set up the phone notification on my i-phone for a sleep reminder?

@BuddysMom2 I spent a week trying to figure this out but I eventually got it:

First, you need to click on the sleep tile in the Fitbit app.

Go to the top right corner and click on the gear.

Scroll down to when it says bedtime reminders and turn it on.

Now, go to your iPhone settings and click on Notifications, scroll down to Fitbit and make sure you allow it to send notifications and check all the boxes underneath it (show on lock screen, show in notification center, etc.) you don't need to allow sound if you don't want to, I don't. You need to make sure they are turned on because I didn't have Show On Lock Screen turned on, that was the only thing and it didn't go through.

If you have Do Not Disturb turned on at a certain time, go back and make sure the time you set your reminder is before Do Not Disturb is triggered or it will not send to your Versa.

Thank you Sarah-lin8, I have it set up that way.  See what happens tonight.  Do you have the bedtime target sleep and the Reminder set for the same time?  I have my Reminder time 1/2 hour before bedtime target sleep. Do you think that could be my problem?

thank you for taking time to help!

Hi Sarah_lin8, nope my sleep Reminder didn’t work. I also take notice since the update to .15 my sleep data is also incorrect when before the update it was working perfectly. Fitbit you are making it worse.....

I agree! I wish this were working properly. I get the notification on my phone, and on the watch, but it doesn't vibrate on the watch, which essentially is no notification at all. It's a shame.
