Hi @Nessielou - long press the watch button [or quick press the button and pull down on the watch face once and then again and tap on the 2 white bars] to get to Quick Settings and turn off the Always On icon.

Thank you for the suggestion. However when I press on the watch button I do
not get quick settings or 2 white lines.
