Notification difficulties with Xiaomi Redmi phones

I have gone through several posts in this forum and understood that Fitbit doesnt have any solution for getting notifications on Xiomi Redmi phones. These phones are widely used in India and China and it is surprising that Fitbit is selling the so called "smart watches" without doing compatibility testing on widely used phones in specific regions. For close to 3 months these issues were reported by various Xiomi Redmi users in this forum but unfortunately no actions were taken from fit bit side. I stopped recommending versa 2 to many of my friends due to this compatibility issues.

 

Smart watch without getting notifications is useless.....

 

Any fitbit team members provide update on this issue?

I'd like to let you know that we are always striving to improve the Fitbit experience with our products and services, therefore, the feedback that's shared here in the Community Forums is always appreciated and really helpful for us to evaluate our procedures and make sure that we are delivering what our users want and need.

 

Let me share with you that we are constantly working and testing different mobile devices to make sure that they work as intended with our products and services. As it turns out, at this moment I'm unable to let you know when or if the Xiomi Redmi phones will be added to our list of compatible devices, however, my best advise for you will be to constantly check our list of compatible devices for any update.

 

If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check: How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device? to see that all the necessary requirements to receive notifications on your Versa 2 are correctly configured. After verifying this, please try the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: My Fitbit device isn't receiving notifications from my phone and let me know how it goes. Keep in mind that because you're using a non-compatible mobile device you can experience connection difficulties with it.
