Hello. I have Fitbit Versa, firmware version 32.32.10.15, mobile phone Xiaomi Redmi 5 plus and notifications are not running on my tracker. My phone reports an error: "Notification service not running. A phone restart is required to re-enable notification on your tracker".
I restarted bluetooth on my phone and also Fitbit app, also reinstall Fitbit app and it still doesnt work. Please, can you help me?

But this also resets the logging that I do. Is there a better way without erasing data ?

Sorry @shreekavithaa bit with no link to which post your replying to, I have no idea of what resets logging or what type of logging your referring to.
Any logging of food, weight, exercises, etc that is done through Fitbit gets logged directly to the Fitbit server, not to the Fitbit app.

I was using versa earlier and i had the same issue - notification stopped working after few months of use. Theni bought a versa 2 recently thinking that this will definitely not have these issues as fitbit is already aware of the problem and they will take care of it. But I waa shocked to see the issue in versa 2 from first day itself. It asks to restart the phone which never worked for me. I tried clearing the cache and re-login to fitbit app which works for sometime (less than a week). But that should not be the case, we should be able to use the notification service flawlessly. I have not seen any other watch having this issue.

@Pratgos I'm having problems understanding why changing the tracker will fix an issue that has to do with the phone.
What type of phone do you have? You say notification worked for a few months, at the time of failing could you have updated the operating system on the phone?
IE: iOS 10 or updated Android.

Is it all notifications, or just text notifications @Pratgos? Do you get the message that Fitbit notification service is not running?
Currently some on Android 10 are having issues with their phone sending text notifications.
Notes:
Phone can not be in DND mode
Notification volume and vibration should be on, at least for testing notification popups on phones lock screen must be enabled.

Try:
1) Disable the battery optimization for the Fitbit app
2) Lock Fitbit app in multitasking switcher
3) Restart your OnePlus device
It helped on my previous OnePlus 7 Pro (Android 9 and 10) and I did not have issues at all.

This is the only fix that worked for me. I had had to specifically go to my phones app settings menu and remove the battery restrictions that the phone added by default. My phone Xiaomi Redmi Note 7

Yes @VeeDav that is one of the settings we ask a user to check. With power management turned on for the Fitbit app, the Fitbit app is put to sleep when it is moved to the background.

@VeeDav Yes, Xiaomi phones along with Huawei and OnePlus are famous for that.

I spoke with fitbit on 2/20 and they said there is an issue with the firmware and they're working on it. I get notifications intermittently. No telling when they work and when they will not work. This is very frustrating. I've had this issue on and off since last summer. Have several case numbers with them but nothing seems to get fixed. UGH!

The same thing is happening me- I have cleared all data/storage and it continues to have the same problem.
This has been an ongoing issue with my Fitbit- and I only got it lastweekl.
So frustrating 😔

I have the same issue with Versa 2 and Xiaomi mi9 (it worked for a day) I bought it 2 days ago, also had the same problem with Charge 2 and Samsung phone, it was working for months and then it didn't.
I've tried everything, settings - notifications enabled, reboot, removing and adding the Fitbit. Removed and added the app. It still shows that it needs a reboot, test call works.
I think I'll be returning it as Alexa doesn't work either unless you should straight to the mic and it costed £200 after all.
