Notification service not running.

Got a new versa 2 at Christmas. Every day since my notifications have stopped working and when I go into the app I get a message saying notification service is not running and I need to restart my phone. 

I have a Huawei P20 pro with the latest version of android and the firmware on my versa 2 is 35.70.7.14.

Make sure that "Do Not Disturb" and "Sleep Mode" are turned off in Quick Settings on your Versa 2 and that "Notifications" is turned On in your App Settings.

Thank you for the response but I have checked the settings and that are all as you mentioned in your post. It is really strange as I do get notifications then for some reason they just stop with the message. Notifications is not running restart your phone. ☹️

I am still trying to work out of the is a reason it is happening and if I ever find a reason or solution I will post an update here
