Notifications Service not running on Versa Lite

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hi,

I own a Fitbit Versa Lite and recently i got an update of Fitbit app to v3.5. Since then i am not receiving any notifications and i keep getting this message "Notification service not running. A phone restart is required to enable notifications on your tracker". However even after restarting the phone, the notifications service is not working.

I believe there was another topic on the same issue which was marked as solved by downloading v2.7. However, the version i have is the latest one but, still issue persists.

Please suggest what needs to be done here.

Same issue here. Received as a gift on 12/26/19, the text/call notifications worked for about a week, and then suddenly stopped. I have done EVERYTHING I was advised to do by Fitbit (useless customer service). Exchanged the Fitbit at the store it was purchased at, still no notifications. Is this an issue that is being worked on? It may not seem like a big deal to some, but feature was what sold me on it.

Is there an estimated time on when you will be able to fix the notification pushing.

Just had this reply from facebook messenger from fitbit.

Thanks for the info. We learned that your Versa Lite last synced earlier with 54% battery. Please be advised that while the Huawei P Smart 21019 meets the minimum requirements, it's presently not listed as a Fitbit-supported device as we have yet to test it fully. Hence, you may run into issues from time to time. We recommend using any of the compatible mobile devices listed in https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/2315. Let us know if you have other questions.

I am still facing this issue. I recently bought (last week) the fitbit versa lite watch and it's connected to my OnePlus6 via bluetooth, yet after multiple restarts of both, the watch and the phone, the issue with notification persists. Kindly provide an ETA to this issue as from the community posts, this seems to be open for a long time.

Hi. There is a link in my post above. It is a list of supported phones. Hope this helps.

Spoiler
OnePlus 6 is listed as a supported phone but I am still facing this issue. Request you to share some resolution as it's frustrating. I received it as a gift and would hate to not being able to use it to it's full extent.
