  • I received notifications the first day and ever since then it hasn't worked from my Huawei p 30 pro. I checked and my preview text messages is on. I aheb all setting set up right according to all the help content. I turned it off and back on, I have also uninstalled and reinstalled my fitbit app on my phone.I have deleted the versa from the Fitbit app and re-registered and still nothing.  I have forgot it in Bluetooth and re connected. Literally nothing works.I am ready to return this if I can't get this resolved, can't believe my Christmas present has cause so many issues.

Hi there, @Tianaw @Collyconfused. Thanks for stopping by in the Community Forums and trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 2. We‘re taking your comments and sentiments in regards to our products into consideration.

Are you getting any error message in the Fitbit app regarding the notifications not working? If you're getting this error message “Notification service is not running. A phone restart is required to re-enable notifications on your tracker”, please note that we’re aware of it and are working to identify a resolution as quickly as possible.

However, since you both have a Huawei phone you can try the following steps:

  1. On your phone, open the Settings app > Apps and notifications > Apps.
  2. Tap Fitbit > Battery.
  3. Turn off the Power-intensive prompt option.
  4. Tap Launch.
  5. Turn off the Manage automatically option, and turn on the Auto-launch, Secondary launch, and Run in background options.
  6. Tap OK.

Note that you may see a message on your phone related to power consumption and apps scanning in the background. If you follow the steps in this message, the Fitbit app can’t run in the background and certain features may not work properly. Repeat the steps above to enable the Fitbit app to run in the background.

Hope that helps.

I am having the same issue!!!!   But I have a different phone.  I have Samsung S10.    I have had both phone and fitbit for 2 years.  Ever since my last update about a week ago, I have had nothing BUT trouble!!!!   I am VERY disappointed and EXTREMELY frustrated!!!!!!!!   Why all of a sudden I don't get any notifications????   And I have done ALL the troubleshooting options.   And there is no error message or anything like that.   It says my notifications are on, but they don't go through.   I hope fitbit can fix this soon!!!!!!  There seems to be a lot of people with this issue!!!!
