Notifications are not coming through my Versa 3

I have had a versa 3 for nearly a year and have never had success on it being able to stay connected to my phone to receive notifications. On the odd occasion I have managed to get it to work it has lasted one day. Everything is switched on to receive them. When I go into notifcationd on my app it always tells me notifications have been turned off (which they haven't) and to restart my phone to connect again. Of course this doesn't work. So fed up with it now. It's not fit for purpose if I can't rely on the notifications coming through when they need to. Please help. I have a Huawei Nova 5T android phone.

Hi there, @Kerrym28. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 3 before reaching out. I understand where your concern is coming from.

As a first approach, please make sure that your Huawei Nova 5T meets the requirements listed here.

If it does, please try the following steps:

  1. Unpair Versa 3 from Fitbit account via Fitbit app (Account > Versa 3> Click on the trash can located on the top right corner of the page)
  2. Unpair Versa 3 from mobile device's Bluetooth settings (Settings > Bluetooth > Versa 3 > Unpair)
  3. Go to Settings on your mobile device
  4. Click on Apps
  5. Click on the Fitbit App > Storage > Click on Clear Cache and Clear Data
  6. Restart your phone and restart your Versa 3
  7. Next, make sure your Location and Bluetooth setting are both turned ON on your mobile device and you are wearing your tracker
  8. Open the Fitbit App (it may ask you to login)
  9. Pair Versa 3 to Fitbit account
  10. Make sure settings in the app are set preferably/correctly
  11. Sync your Versa 3
  12. Make sure their permissions and mobile device settings are set correctly (you may need to request for screenshots to confirm)
  13. On your mobile device: Go to your phone's settings
  14. Click on Apps > Fitbit
  15. Click on Permissions and make sure everything is set to ON (Contacts, Phone, SMS, Storage, Location)
  16. Go back a page and click on Notifications and make sure Allow notifications is set to ON and On lock screen is set to Show content
