Notifications are not coming through my Versa 3

The past 2 days my versa 3 hasn't been able to recieve calls, text or notification. Every now and then they will stop and there will be a red explanation point then I just have to turn my phone off and back on and everything goes back to normal. But this time that is not the case. First I disconnect and reconnect my versa from my phone, went thru the whole versa set up again. Everything was synced, paired, allowed and connected. So then I logged out of fitbit app, forced stopped, turned off Bluetooth and turned off phone. Once turned back on everything reconnected, synced, allowed permissions and paired. Right now as I type this everything is paired, synced, allowed permission, enabled notifications even my stats are going to my app on my phone but no notifications, text or calls come thru. I use the test call atleast once a day to make sure of everything I even tried it multiple times after trying different stuff and nothing.

My phone is Android Galaxy A21

I'm getting very frustrated 😠

Hi there, @Ahummel27. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 3 before reaching out. I understand why you must be feeling frustrated.

If you're getting this error message “Notification service is not running. A phone restart is required to re-enable notifications on your tracker”, please note that we’re aware of it and are working to identify a resolution as quickly as possible.

I'd like to provide the following steps which are actually very functional for Huawei devices, but they might still work on other Android devices like yours. With that being said, please:

  1. On your phone, open the Settings app > Apps and notifications > Apps.
  2. Tap Fitbit > Battery.
  3. Turn off the Power-intensive prompt option.
  4. Tap Launch.
  5. Turn off the Manage automatically option, and turn on the Auto-launch, Secondary launch, and Run in background options.
  6. Tap OK.

Note that you may see a message on your phone related to power consumption and apps scanning in the background. If you follow the steps in this message, the Fitbit app can’t run in the background and certain features may not work properly. Repeat the steps above to enable the Fitbit app to run in the background.

Hope that helps.

I'm having the same problem with my galaxy s10. I've done all the same things, even factory reset my fitbit and I can't get any notifications even though it's still syncing.
