Hi,

I've gone through forums and tried all the possible fixes, but no matter what Fitbit doesn't activate notifications.

It's extremely frustrating. Any solutions found yet for this bug?

Thank you!

Hi there, @Fit-Researcher. Thanks for stopping by in the Community Forums and trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 3 before reaching out. I understand how you must be feeling.

While reading your post I was wondering if you have another Fitbit device linked to your Fitbit account or had one before? If this describes your issue, please note that you can't connect multiple devices that use the Fitbit Gallery to one account. For Fitbit Charge 3, Fitbit Charge 4, Fitbit Charge 5, Fitbit Ionic, Fitbit Inspire series, Fitbit Luxe, Fitbit Sense, and Fitbit Versa series, only connect one of these devices to your account at a time.

If your second Fitbit device is still linked to your Fitbit account and phone's Bluetooth settings, that would explain why the notifications are not coming through your Versa 3.

With that being said, I'd suggest trying the following:

  • Unpair your old Fitbit device and Versa 3 from your phone's Bluetooth and Fitbit app.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your new Versa 3 again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa 3.
  • Set up notifications again.

Hope that helps.

Hi MarreFitbit,

Thank you for your detailed response. Indeed I had Versa 2 previously on Bluetooth, but I had tried unpairing with it as well.

So what worked for me was a combination of what you suggested and this:

1. Unpair your Versa 3 from Bluetooth.

2. Switch off Bluetooth

3. Go to Apps -> Fitbit -> Delete all App data

3. Then uninstall the Fitbit app completely

4. Restart your phone

5. Turn on the Bluetooth

6. Reinstall the App

7. Setup your device

This totally worked for me, and I now am able to receive notifications.

Thank you once again for resolving this -it is a new Versa 3 and I wanted it to work fine 🙂
