I have a Versa that won't receive any app notifications. Keeping on top of messages is the *only* reason I have a Fitbit as I can't have my phone near me at work so currently it's pretty useless to me. New phone a few days ago - the Xiaomi/RedMi Note 10s. I am seeing the info about needing to restart my phone in red box as on a few other discussion topics on here but they all seem to relate to a Versa 3 which I don't have (just Versa). I'm not super tech savvy so if there is any advice , if it could be painstakingly step by step I'd be massively grateful!

@welshrachel I'm sorry the steps didn't help.
Nevertheless, please bear in mind that if you're getting this error message “Notification service is not running. A phone restart is required to re-enable notifications on your tracker”, please note that we’re aware of it and are working to identify a resolution as quickly as possible.

Hi there, @welshrachel. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Versa. We‘re taking your comments and sentiments in regards to our products and services into consideration.
If you're getting this error message “Notification service is not running. A phone restart is required to re-enable notifications on your tracker”, please note that we’re aware of it and are working to identify a resolution as quickly as possible.
I'd like to provide the following steps that actually work for Huawei users, I know you have a Xiaomi but it's still and Android device, so I thing it would worth the try:
Note that you may see a message on your phone related to power consumption and apps scanning in the background. If you follow the steps in this message, the Fitbit app can’t run in the background and certain features may not work properly. Repeat the steps above to enable the Fitbit app to run in the background.
Hope that does the trick for you.

Many thanks for the reply. As you say I don't have a Huawei so these options were not on my phone. I can get to step one but the battery option on step 2 is greyed as 0%. I did manage to change an in-app setting to have it running at all times in the background which I took as the general idea of what you are trying to get the app to do? Sadly the Fitbit still isn't responding. Any further advice welcome please
