Notifications for certain apps no longer work since a few days ago

Hi,

I've had the Versa for 3 months now and while syncing has been iffy, once it's sync'ed I've generally been able to receive notifications on the Versa.

However, since a few days ago, I've noticed that I'm no longer able to receive notifications for some apps, such as WhatsApp, and Gmail.

Other stuff such as Textra SMS, Telegram and some others work just fine.

I have a Versa with firmware version 32.331.30, and a Google Pixel on the September Android 10 update running Fitbit app version 3.6.1.

Notifications on my Versa is on, and WhatsApp and Gmail are set as my default message/email apps in my Fitbit app.

I've tried re-syncing, restarting both Versa and Pixel, turning BT off and on again, un-pairing and re-pairing - nothing works.

I'm not sure what changed, or even exactly when this happened, but it's probably been just a couple days since I last got WhatsApp/Gmail notification on my Versa.

Is anyone else experiencing the same problem?

I had the same thing happen the other day and made a detailed post about it.

 

Try removing and reinstalling the fitbit app on your phone.

Having the same problem with Google Hangouts. It's listed as my default messaging app, but I haven't been getting notifications from it for the past 4 days. Factory reset, pairing/unpairing, etc. hasn't helped with this. Would love answers.

I am having the same issues.  No more notifications on my watch. Has been glitchy the last few weeks,but since last week I no longer get email, text, facebook or the "get movin" notifications!  Very frustrating.

I have not gotten any WhatsApp notifications for 3 days now. Seemed to coincide with an update from WhatsApp. I get everything else. All settings are correct. Have restarted phone and Fitbit ,uninstalled WhatsApp, unpaired. Have not uninstalled Fitbit App yet. Will try that next.

Yeah reinstalling the Fitbit App worked. Just got a notification from WhatsApp.

I've been experiencing this same issue but with Instagram. I just tried the uninstall/reinstall as well as other troubleshooting options and it's still not working for me.

Try removing and reinstalling the Fitbit app.

I've tried this. I've checked all of my settings, made sure it's finding my versa on my Galaxy S7, I've shut down my versa and turned it back on. I've restarted my phone. Nothing is working. I'm fairly confident it's actually stopped receiving any notifications, now. It started around Friday and I've been troubleshooting since.
