Notifications not working

I have not received any notifications from my phone on my fitbit versa for 2 days now. I have restarted my versa and my phone, turned bluetooth off and on, and have checked all settings recommended in other forums. Nothing is working! My versa is only a month old and has had no other issues. It will sync with my phone, but sparingly. Any suggestions?

I ended up having to delete my versa in my app and reset it up. When I did that, I did have to reset my notification settings, but it is working now. Thanks so much for your help tonight

Hi, in what circumstances does your Versa nor receive notifications? Do you always carry your phone with you? If not, than it might be that you're out of BT range, which is about 30 to 50 Feet.

I am not receiving texts and emails at all. My fitbit does vibrate for step reminders and for step goals, but nothing from my phone comes up  And yes, I always have my phone on me. My fitbit shows its connected to my phone and notifications are turned on. But I never get a notification on my fitbit. Its been going on for 2 days now.

Try restarting your Versa and also your phone. On your phone, I would suggest the following:

1. Disable BT and WiFi.

2. Stop the Fitbit app

3. Restart your phone and do not enable BT

4, Restart Fitbit and wait untill it says "Cannot connect to tracker cauese BT is not on.

5. Enable BT

Fitbit will start syncing with your Versa. Wait and see if your notifications will work now.

BTW, maybe a stupid question: did you enable notifications on your Versa? Check that by pressing the left button for about 2 secs and you will see the activity screen which tells you if notifications are on. When on, go to the settings of your Versa and scroll down to notifications and press it and see whether they are enabled or not (opportunity given to switch them on during daytime an off during the night).

I tried these steps, but only after I tried to unpair and repair my bluetooth and fitbit. Now, my phone cannot find my versa as a device to even connect to! Would I have to delete my versa and set it back up at this point?

Since you unpaired your Versa with the Fitbit app, it's no longer connected to Fitbit and you will need to do the setup of your Versa all over again. If your "old" Versa is still present, still choose add device and Fitbit will ask you to replace the current one and just press yes and continue the setup as usual.

When I try to go through the setup process all over again, my phone cannot find the fitbit to finish the setup process.

Go to your phone and do the following:

1. disable BT and WiFi on your phone

2. deinstall the Fitbit app

3. restart your phone

4, reinstall the Fitbit app

5. do not enable BT yet

6. restart the setup procedure

7. fitbit app should ask you to enable BT to continue the setup and enable BT.

8. for the rest follow the normal setup procedure.

I followed the last suggestion and uninstalled the app.  I reinstalled it, and tried to pair it again. No luck. I tried to add a new fitbit and my phone cannot find the fitbit. However, it said that it synced 20 min ago. I'm so confused and frustrated. 🙁
