Notifications shown despite manually activation

Hi Fitbit Community!

I have a little issue with my versa. Since a few days my notifications are shown on the display, despite I set "display activation" to manually.

It's a little bit annoying, if everyone can see my messages 😉 And it wakes me up at night wenn I receive any e-mails.

I did not change anything - display activation is still manually and quick view is off.

Thanks a lot in advance,

Juvi

@markgranto @Juvi Got my update yesterday. Just to confirm it is a new functionality. It's either display on or nothing at all... Cat Frustrated Perhaps you could create a thread in Feature Suggestions Forum to change that?

Upgraded my Versa to 3.0 yesterday and now appears the option for the Screen wake - auto has changed.

Prior to the upgrade you could set the versa to wake the screen when you raised your wrist, but not wake when you receive a notification (it would only vibrate.....if you had the vibrate option toggled in the app).

Now it appears that has been removed, and you can only have it set to wake for both OR neither.

Why has this been removed and can it be readded?

Using Fitbit Versa with firmware version 32.33.1.30 (I'm located in Germany)

Thought my post was in the Versa section, sorry for confusion...

Think this might be similar to what im experiencing.

Prior to upgrading to 3.0 I had the notification setting to vibrate but not wake the screen.

However the screen would wake with wrist gesture, tap the screen or obviously pressing the left button.

Now the above option seems to have vanished, and it will either wake with gesture or notification coming in, or on the versa you turn the 'Screen Wake' to manual/app to 'Quick View' off, neither will wake the screen.

Appears the option I used in the previous firmware has been removed.

@markgranto it seems like that's what 3.0 brings. I'm still waiting for my update though.

@Juvi You're in the right place. I merged @markgranto's thread with yours as it pertains to 3.0 update.

If so then surely it must be an oversight, its actually removing functionality rather than adding it.

I'm not sure if they are linked but on the versa if i set the screen wake to manual and sync with the app it turns the quick view to off in the app. And vice versa.....

Also noted (but not related) the text size in the settings on the versa is larger, would be good if you could choose to make it smaller as before, maybe that needs to be logged as a 'feature suggestion'?

Hmmm not sure this is a 'new functionality' more of an oversight/omission of a basic function id say to be honest. Unless someone can confirm the reason it has been removed.

Let's hope it is reinstated with the next release.

I had already posted on that page. Here is the post.....4 likes so far

@Marrrmaduke wow! That is not good. I'm now turning them off as my versa was going on and off all the time.

@markgranto yeah. It's definitely due to notifications. I switched them off for a day and the battery usage went to normal. I receive a lot of notifications. Sighs. My Versa lights up like a Xmas tree...
