On-wrist calls on Versa 3 aren't working correctly

I recently got the Versa 3 and was excited abt being able to answer my phone on it. However, whenever I do, the caller complains of a horrible echo on their end, to the point where they hang up. Has anyone else had this problem?

Hi there, @DACS. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with the on-wrist call feature.

If you haven't done so yet, please check the following requirements:

If you continue having issues, try the following troubleshooting steps:

  1. On the phone, turn Bluetooth off and back on.
  2. Restart the Fitbit device once gain. For instructions, see How do I restart my Fitbit device?
  3. Remove Versa 3 Controls from the list of Bluetooth devices on your phone.
  4. Set up on-wrist calls again. For instructions, see How do I set up on-wrist calls on my Fitbit device?

Note that Versa 3 Controls might be listed as “Not Connected” in the list of Bluetooth devices on your phone. When you receive a phone call, the controls automatically reconnect. This feature requires more frequent charging.

On a side note, please note that if you're trying to connect any headphones while using on-wrist calls, specially Airpods, at this time Fitbit smartwatches can't control the volume on Apple Airpods.

Hope this helps.

Hi @DACS  - echoes could possibly occur if the phone microphone is also on or sometimes too close to the caller.

Try restarting both phone and watch in case there is a conflict.

To clear any problems that might also be due to the Fitbit App, clear it's storage cache and force stop it and also logout and login, for Android phones.
