Open pin locked Versa 3 but disconnected from phone

Hi all

Heritaded a versa 3 from my father in law but the watch is pin locked and phone is no longer available. Not able to open the watch. Does not work with hard reset. Any suggestions?

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @Grothbm. Thank you for sharing your Versa 3 pin locked query.

 

Since you can't unlock your watch with the reset please perform a factory reset on Versa 3:

  1. Don’t plug the Fitbit device into the charging cable. 
  2. Press and hold the button for about 8 seconds until the screen turns off. 
  3. After the screen turns off, they’ll feel a short vibration:
    1. When they feel the vibration, release the button and immediately press and hold the button again.
    2. Wait until the blue logo appears, then disappears:
      1. Immediately release the button and then immediately press and hold it .again, until they feel a vibration.
      2. After they feel the vibration, release the button. 
        • This vibration indicates they started the factory reset. 
        • After the Fitbit logo appears, the Fitbit device shows the image with the phone icon and setup indicator. Now the customer can set up their Fitbit device. See How do I set up my Fitbit device?

Hello @Grothbm and welcome to the Community.  I’m going to ask a moderator to help you.  There is apparently a double secret, hard to find, possible unpublished way to do a factory reset on a locked device.  I just don’t know how to do it.

Many thanks! The touch sensitive button on the watch is also a nightmare when it comes to longer consistent push.  😅

Many thanks!! Finally manage to do it! It worked after what I think was the 15th attempt. The touch button on this watch is really not good.
