Is there a way to keep the clock face on? Aside from using it as a fitness tracker, I do want to be able to see the time without clicking a button every time. I don't find a manual so I don't know if there is a setting for this. Thanks in advance.

Yes, there is an analog Clock Face that has the possibility to stay on from 06:00 AM untill 09:00 PM. After that time the display turns off automatically to save the battery. This Clock Face is called: Classic. Go to clock faces - all faces - search for Classic and it will be displayed on the top of the list on the left side. This clock face has also another advantage: it's only 35 kB, so does not take a lot of energy from the battery. It's highly customizable and by pressing in the middle of the screen, you can walk through your stats, all of this in 35 kB! Hope this helps.

Oops. Doesn't look like that one is available for the Versa 3, which is what I have. I will keep looking.

Do you mean the Charge 3 instead of the Versa? For the Versa, it should be no problem at all cause it's especially developed for the Versa's display.

Sorry, oops again. I have the Charge 3, which apparently is the only one that *doesn't* have an always-on clock option. Figures.

already thought you meant the Charge 3 and, alas, the Classic face is not compatible with it.

I don't see an option called 'auto wake' in settings.
Even the Versa User Manual on page 19 gives only the following options
Brightness
Backlight delay
Vibrations
Heart rate
Notifications
Blue Tooth

Hi, press the left button for about 2 secs and the activity screen will open. There you can setup the screen to wake up automatically when you move your wrist.

Hi, if you want a clock face with the option to stay on, without moving your wrist, then the real solution to your question is to install this Clock Face: "Essential Watch". Go to in your Fitbit app to the page that shows the Clock and App Tiles. Press Clocks - All Clocks and you will see on top of the page a search bar. Press the search icon on top of the screen on the right side. A new page will open with a new search bar with further an empty page. In the search bar you see on top of the screen the search icon on the left side of the screen, press that and a cursor appears. Type in "Essential Watch" and press search. It will show on top of the screen, press it and if you like it, install it. This has indeed the real option to toggle the screen to always on or off.

I just tapped on the clock face I installed 3 times fast and got it to stay on all the time.

1. Hit your profile face in the corner
2. Hit "devices" category
3. Hit "clock faces"
4. Hit "all clocks"
5. In upper area, type in "always on" in the search box, and all clock faces with the 'always on' feature comes up in your search.
Or,
In your currently installed clock face, try and tap on the face 3 times fast. I just tried it on mine and it has stayed on all the time. To undo this option, just repeat this instruction and it will undo the setting.

The motion based clock face has horrible lag. You can set always-on for the clock but it will use a different clock face than the one you selected. If you select analog it uses a decent clock face, good enough that I would want it as my actual clock face but apparently fit bit does not allow that.
So I am stuck with two analog clock faces: one that is "always-on" which changes into a different one when I move my wrist.
The least bad solution I found is this:
set the "Always On Display" to "On" and the "Screen Wake" to "Manual(Button)"
in the options you get when you click the button and swipe down (third icon on top).
That will keep the default analog clock face always on without the annoying lag, just like a real watch,
and it will not replace it by some other clock face in mid motion, but you do have to click the button to activate the screen for other things, which is fine by me.
