Option to have vibration off on Versa

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I would like to receive the notifications on my Versa but I don't want the Versa to vibrate every time I receive notifications, because that's very annoying while I receive a lot of notifications.

Is it possible to turn off vibrations?

Hi @BowieL Welcome to the forums. You can learn more about notification setting in the manual HERE on page 29. You may also want to check your vibration setting, to verify it's not set to 'strong'.

I hope that helps.

It's not in the strong-mode but in the normal mode.

But it's very annoying that every time I receive a notification the Versa vibrates.

It is possible to receive notifications on my Versa and that it's not vibrating.

It's great to welcome you @girishkumar518.

If you don't want your Versa to vibrate at the moment of receiving a notification, you need to have your phone on "Silent" or "Do Not Disturb" mode, then go to the Fitbit app, go to notifications and turn off the "Always Vibrate" option.

I hope this helps, catch you later. Smiley Happy

My app doesn’t have that option and i have the versa as well. There is no “always vibrate” option.

Hi there, is this perhaps only an option on android phones/apps? I'm trying to turn off the always vibrate option but I cannot find the button in the iOS app.

Looking forward to your reply!

Using Android 9 (P or Pie), open fitbit app, then tap on the watch icon in upper right (where the battery indicator is).  Then scroll down a bit under General heading.  Should see Notifications options.  Click on that.  I turned everything off, put my phone in the Do Not Disturb mode, then did a happy dance.

So no solution to this? I want notifications but no vibrations. There’s no “always vibrate” option on the app for iPhones!

I was wandering how to change the intensity of the vibration?

It's great to see you around, @Nicole_danielle.

Regarding your inquiry, you have to swipe to settings and then tap the vibration option and select the one you like the most. You can also check the Versa Product Manual.

Let me know if you need anything else. 🙂

This doesn't help. I think most people figured that super basic setting out. You could have just said "no, it's not possible". Would be nice to see the option in the future

I for one am ready to trash my fitbit versa. I have been burned while taking a dish out of the oven when my fitbit starts vibrating and tells me to get moving.  I am in the middle of moving!  All notifications are off except low battery. I have dropped numerous objects from being startled by that darn vibration.

I’m also a year looking for that option. Why not “strong”, “normal” and “off”.u

I used to have a Pebble. That one was much better with notification settings and vibration. The Pebble vibrates for incoming calls, but turned of for notifications.

Fitbit you took over Pebble, why you don’t use that feature!

And no, I don’t want to use the “do not disturb” settings, that’s not the answer to this.

There is no option not to vibrate. There was on previous models. My versa 3 is driving me insane

Strongly agree. I hate the vibrations so much that I only wear it when I am walking or running.

Needs an Off option.
