Pace per mile not accurate

I am having issues with the pace per km recorded on my Fitbit being way slower than my actual pace. I used strava on my phone which is showing 5mins per km  which is what I expect,  however my fitbit run is showing nearly 7 minutes for the same run!! Any ideas on how to correct this? Would turning off gps work ?

@Noellehass Versa uses both gps (when on) and pedometry (steps) to estimate the distance travelled and thus pace as well. You can try:

  • turning off GPS - especially if you see that the route is not being tracked properly as seen by long straight lines on the map in the fitbit app
  • improving GPS readings by improving Versa - phone bluetooth connectivity (if that's the issue here)
  • improving pedometry by adjusting your stride length
