Personal music sync issues - can only sync once then have to delete everything to do it again

Hi all

I bought a versa 2 yesterday after borrowing another fitbit inspire from someone for a little while, and figured I'd go a couple models up because the idea of having music stored on it really appeals to me.

I've been having some bizarre issues syncing and was wondering if anyone had similar issues or has any suggested fixes.

The watch connects to my wifi fine. The windows 10 app connects to the phone fine. I can sync a large playlist of about 300 songs fine.

But AFTER that sync, any time I go back into the app to update a playlist or make any changes, it keeps telling me my versa 2 disconnects after trying trying to scan it, and the only way to change the songs on it is to delete all personal music from the phone app and start again. Considering the watch doesn't sync particularly quickly, this is a huge hassle.

If I sync a smaller playlist of like 10-20 songs, then it's fine, I can go back into the windows 10 app and make additional changes and it works perfectly. But it seems like if I try to sync anything close to the advertised 300 songs, the watch disconnects whenever the windows 10 app tries to make additional changes and I have to delete everything to get it to work again.

Any ideas?

I've tried a factor reset after I got this error the first time, no difference.

Possibly similar to the topic here, but not sure:

A bit dissapointed as the music storage was pretty much the sole reason I went for this product over a fitbit half the price.

Thanks.
