Hi, yesterday I got new Fitbit Versa for my birthday, and I have one problems with it
Also, during the setup, I got firmware update. Everything went well. My problem is with
screenwake: set to manual not working. one tap , double tap none of them work. Sometimes it work, but it is not reproducible. Like lower right corner. Tap/double tap working when Fitbit sleeps for few minutes. When it is off (screen) for 10 or more minutes, than is really hard to wake screen with tap/double tap. I dont like auto option, because it is drain battery a lot, and it is wake my fitbit every time when I move my hand..thanks

Hi, set your display to auto-wakeup and your problem is gone. It will not drain your battery. I have my Versa on auto-wakeup and it lasts 5 to 5.5 days on one charge.

Hi @Marko94  I have found with my Versa that it is a bit particular about where you tap it. I have found about half way up the left hand side works best. So experiment with tapping in different places. But your other option is to just press a button. That wakes it up every time.

Thanks @NellyG and @SunsetRunner. I will try to experiment more.

Also I have few questions from experienced users like you 🙂 :

1. heart rate monitor is always on for you ?

2. notifications also ?

3. any special tweaks, guides to save more battery ?

4. What about backup ? for example, If I change phone or something else. Do I need backup apps somewhere or it is already backuped on Fitbit ?

That is for now 😕

Hi, thanks for the compliment.

Regarding your questions:

1. HR is always on

2. Notifications: only calendar events. Do not see the need for more cause I have my phone with me almost always.

3. Regarding battery saving: use a Clock Face with a size as little as possible. Large Clock Faces drain your battery. I can recommend this one:

https://gam.fitbit.com/gallery/clock/364a8989-6105-4418-93aa-10a4e55775ea. Only 49 kB and customizable to your own liking. Play with it untill it's fully to your satisfaction. It's a payed version (only  $1.1) after a trial period of 30hrs

4. Backups are not needed as all is already stored on the Fitbit servers.

Heres my answers to your questions @Marko94

I leave HR on as well

Notifications really this is personal choice. I havd calendar events, text and call notifications,  but I dont get many so itis not a big drain on the battery. If you gets a lot of notifications then it will run your battery down more quickly.

Battery saving - choose the notifications that are important to you and dont use all day sync (I dont listen to my own advice here), and I agree with @SunsetRunner - choose a clockface that doesnt use a lot of power.

Regarding brightness: auto is in principle not bad, depending on the Clock Face you're going to use. I have mine on normal and as you have read before, that's not a battery drainer. Like this more than auto.

Hi,

I just wanted to share  this Clock face.

It is simple, unique, and very small , 4.67 kb 🙂

Btw I tried what you suggested, it is also nice, my second option 😉Screenshot_Fitbit_20190218-201057.png
