Problems with Fitbit Versa

I purchased a Versa from Amazon 2 months ago (June 28, 2018) and was very happy until last week when the display started to act up.

Liked it so much I didn't want to do without while I sent it back for repair after ONLY 2 months of use.

So I go to a local retailer and purchase a new Versa.

Well of course as documented in many threads, the firmware wasn't updating so set up was a no-go.

Did all the normal things to get the NEW Versa working - restart, reload app, factory reset, different wifi sources, bluetooth only instead of wifi, etc. Even contacted tech support.

NONE of which helped fix this NEW device which tech support assured me is not defective, because it's only a "firmware issue." Of course when I asked if ALL new Versas where not working, I was told it was only some. So obviously we have different definitions of defective.

Anyway long story short wanted to let other fit-"bitters" in my situation in on the oh so simple 5 minute fix...

Took the new Versa back to Target for return (no trouble at all BTW thank you Target) and replaced it with a vívo active 3 which happened to be on sale.

Five minutes later, well seven because I did have to download their app, I'm back in the fitness tracking business.

Apologies for the lengthy post, but hope it helps someone from going through the frustration of having to throw a Fit-Bit FIT.

Signed,
Former Fit Bitter
My two month old fitbit

Hello @Versah8r

@Enjoy your new tracker. Hope it has all the same bells and whistle the Versa has.
