Good day all. Am thinking about switching from a tracker to a smartwatch and am looking for thoughts on the Versa 3. Have read comments in this community and have notes on issues people have had but, as usual, the community mostly has just issues. Would love to hear the pros also for this watch. Thanks in advance or your input.

Hi @blueroselady51 - the pros and cons depends largely on your needs and why you are wanting to switch and why you looking at a Versa 3 and not a Versa 2.
There are some things a Versa 2 can do, and do better, that a Versa 3 can't.
Don't assume a Versa 3 is better than a Versa 2.

I agree, it completely depends on what you want from the Versa 3. It's good at some things and poor at others. Whether this is a good choice for you depends on what you want to use it for and what exercise metrics you want to track.
As an example I really like what it can do as a smartwatch. It looks good, is comfortable to wear, has different faces, a bright display and good battery life. I like the app, it generally works well, has useful features and shows interesting information.
However as a fitness tracker for running, I am hugely disappointed. The timing, distance and overall pace are good but I find the heart rate accuracy appalling and therefore useless for heart rate training and measuring effort. I now use a different manufacturer's chest strap or optical monitor. Today the Versa 3 was consistently 20-30 BPM out, at one point saying 155 BPM when my chest strap said 125 BPM. I know which is correct.

@blueroselady51- if you like particular clock faces and apps, there is a difference between a Versa 2 and a Versa 3, as they use different operating systems and face geometry, such that many of the established clock faces written for the Versa 2 and previous models might not be available on the more recent Versa 3.

The fitness tracking aspect is awful on the Versa 3. The heart rate tracking does not work at all. I often find I will be at my desk working and it will track it as an intense activity. I don’t recommend the Versa 3

I don't recommend the versa 3/sense, in smart resource management they're a big deal, but if it's for fitness it does very poorly.
Incorrect heart rate with a very high margin of error, resulting in a negative result in your AZM and Kcal.
In my opinion, I would go for version 2, the only downside is the lack of built-in GPS
