While pushing a cart, stroller or wheelchair my steps are less than half of what they should be. Is anyone working on a solution to this? It really sucks!

Put it in your pocket when doing so. Holding on to anything will not count all steps. It needs to see the arms swinging. Just the way all wrist models are.

Not entirely accurate, the apple watch, Garmin watches and the Gear Fit Frontiers have been able to register steps when holding a shopping cart, or stroller. If you can acquire one of those devices, you will see that they count steps.. fitbit don't

A warm welcome to the Community @SandiLynn, @WendyB and @imeson79 thanks for stopping by.
As mentioned by our friend, at the moment of pushing a cart, stroller, etc., your Versa might not count some steps. An alternative as suggested, is place your watch inside a pocket. You can also take a look at the Stroller Mode request, vote for it and leave your comment.
See you around.

@imeson79I used a Garmin for a while and it did not register all steps while holding on to something

Hello, I just got my Versa last night and with a baby at home I am also always pushing a stroller or holding onto a baby. Is there a certain mode it needs to be in to put into a pocket?

I know it's typical for fitbits to not count steps if your arms aren't swinging while you're pushing a cart or carrying something. What's odd is I gave my charge 2 to my son and upgraded to a versa and his steps are counting just fine, it seems. He doesn't move his arms when he walks. At all. Ever.
