Quick replies and battery issues on my Versa

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I've been having issues for the past two days with my Versa holding a charge, after having it for a few years now. But I woke up this morning to find out that any text I got were replied to using quick replies by itself. They were random replies. When I checked my watch, which was fully charged before I went to bed, it was dead. I was wondering if anyone else is having this problem? I've never had it reply with quick replies by itself.

Hi there, @MelN2015. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for sharing the details about the issues with your Versa. I understand where your concern is coming from.

If this happened while you were sleeping, I think you might have pressed your watch's screen accidentally and the quick replies were sent this way. If this is the first time you experience such an issue, I'd suggest you keep monitoring your watch to see if this happens again. If that is the case, please restart our Versa. For more information, see How do I restart my Fitbit device?

Regarding the battery short life, your Versa battery should last up to 4 days. However, as with other electronic devices, the battery will depend on the features and how often they're used, such as the GPS, Spotify app or animated clock faces. While this doesn't mean that you shouldn't use them, please take into into consideration the conditions that impact your watch's battery.

That being said, I'd recommend to change the clock face to one designed by Fitbit and please confirm if you've followed the tips and recommendations to maximize your watch's battery life described here.

Hope this helps.

My Versa charger has been very troublesome for many months. Suddenly the charger seems to be working much better, but for the last two days I've gotten less than 24 hours normal use out of the watch before needing to recharge, despite charging successfully to 100% both days. I'm used to get 3 or 4 days out of one charge.

@MarreFitbit Thanks for your prompt reply. I already have read your tips and recommendations, though I didn't follow the one to stop using the custom face that I have used from the beginning (it's the one I like best, by far). Long ago, I set up my watch to minimize battery usage, so there was nothing else to change. The kicker is, that up until earlier this week, I was getting normal periods between having to recharge the battery and now it's suddenly down ¼ to ⅓ of that time (i.e., daily). Plus recharging takes 3 to 4 times longer than it used to (i.e., 6-8 hours). I haven't changed anything in a long, long, long time, other than physically manipulating the charger in order to get it to actually charge. Something has changed, but I have no idea what.

I’m having the same problem with the battery on my Versa Fitbit - was working great and all of a sudden losing battery charge in one day.  I’ve followed all the recommendations made to others - resetting and changing clock face - nothing seems to help.  Hopefully someone has a solution.  I’ve been a Fitbit wearer for years.  Would hate to have to switch to Apple Watch.

This happens every few months with an update. We will be told that it's something wrong with our device and offered discounts but the issue won't be acknowledged. Then the next update will come out and it'll start working again as if by magic.

This is the fourth time I've seen this with my versa. I don't know why I bother coming to report it on the forums because it is the same thing every time.
