RESOLVED 6/13/18: Versa not getting Message+ msgs

I cannot get text notifications on my Versa if I use Message+ app. If I switch to Whatsapp, notifications work on my Versa. But not many of contacts use WhatsApp. Does anyone else use Message+ for texting? If so, does it work with your Versa? Screenshot

I  have not been getting notifications from my Message+ app since the update. When will this be fixed?

I'm in the same boat - worked completely find yesterday and after the update I cannot receive any text message notifications on my fitbit. I still get phone calls, facebook, email, and everything else but not text messages thru message plus. WHEN will this be working????

@ram24 @sportsmomof3 @Scooley17 Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here! Sorry to hear that you aren't getting Message+ texts on your Versa. The Android app version 2.73 has just been release and it contains a fix for this issue so please update your Fitbit app and try again. It wouldn't hurt if you restart your phone and your Versa by doing the following:

 

1.- Press and hold the back (left) and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. This should take less than 10 seconds.
2.- Let go of the buttons.
3.- If your Fitbit watch doesn't work normally, use the instructions in How do I turn off my Fitbit device? to turn your watch off and on again.

How will Fitbit notify us when Message+ is up and working for Android Phone Users?

Look for update? Check this site often for information?

Wondering the same thing.  SO frustrating, and Fitbit never has more info than "we're working on it"! Text notifications are critical for my job so not having this functionality is a game changer.

You can get text notifications on the FitBit Versa. Your Versa has to be connected to your phone to receive them on your watch. To view your text messages swipe down on the Versa when you are at the clock face screen. There it will tell you all your notifications.

Android and iPhone 6s. Versa, Flex 2, and Zip

I just noticed as of this morning my message+ is now syncing again. Not sure if the update my Verizon phone just did or if Fitbit fixed the issue without needing a new update. Quick replies also worked. 🙂

This is not true for all phones/apps.This is a known issue for Versa and Fitbit is "working on a fix".

Yesterday on 6/13, we fully released the Fitbit for Android app version 2.73. Please update the app if you haven't already. This app version contains the fix so that you are able to receive your Message+ messages again. Please let me know how it goes!

Did you have to do a factory reset on the versa? I updated the fitbit app and I'm still not receiving text.

I updated the app, did a phone restart then did the fitbit  held the back button and button button until the fitbit logo came on.

No, but I did have to go in and make sure the notification settings within the app were set correctly.
