RESOLVED 6/13/18: Versa not getting Message+ msgs

I cannot get text notifications on my Versa if I use Message+ app. If I switch to Whatsapp, notifications work on my Versa. But not many of contacts use WhatsApp. Does anyone else use Message+ for texting? If so, does it work with your Versa?

I can't get my versa to receive text messages from my Samsung galaxy s7. I can get emails, calls and all.other notifications, but not texts from message +.  I called fitbit but it did not fix the problem. Anybody else have this problem and if so what is the solution.

I use a Samsung Galaxy S7 and my notifications have always worked. Have you checked that in your notifications list in settings that your messaging app is turned on? As far as I am aware that is the only settng that seems to affect whether it works for me.

I did not have any issues with receiving texts until I just did the last upgrade. I too have tried all troubleshooting for several days now!!!! I have a Samsung 7, and use Message+.  I finally just installed the fit notification app, followed all the instructions and now get my texts. That is insane!

I cannot get my Message+ to link with my Versa. I see this was an issue through other posts.  Is there any update on when this will be resolved ?

I have the same issue. I cannot receive Messages+ text messsges on my Versa. I switched to the Samsung messaging app and now receive my text messages fine. I chatted with Fitbit and I was told "the engineers are aware of the issue." I could not get an answer on when the problem will be resolved.

Thanks for your reply. Does the Samsung messaging app receive messages sent from and to your phone number? I wasn't sure what the Samsung messaging app was. I can switch to that, but want to make sure I receive texts from my phone. Thanks again for any help.

What messaging service are you using, message+ or Samsung?

Yes, it will receive to your phone and the versa, you just have to change notifications in both your phone and the versa to Samsung messages (its a yellow app). It have a S7 as well, and it's working for me. You will need to resync. I'll be glad when they fix the glitch, I like mesages+ better.

I have a S7 too and I am using the samsung regular text...but when I do get a text it just says "NEW TEXT" not the contacts name and it won't let me quick reply to it.  I was going to switch to message+ but once I updated the app it disappeared as an option.

I am also waiting on the fix.. and to be honest I don't mind.. it means I am looking at my phone less because I am not responding nearly as quick to people.

I love message+ so I dont really want to swap back over to standard texting haha.

It will be so nice once all the bugs are corrected though!

I just got the versa and it's not working. Message+ not going to fitbit that is. It was working just fine with blaze but not with versa. They say it's the phone but everything but message+ works fine. Explain please because I have had verizon for 4 years and have never had a problem till I got my versa and Fitbit updated.

My new Versa is receiving incoming call and missed call notifications. However, is not able to receive text message notifications, I have checked all settings to make sure everything is on and it's still not working! Ugh help!

What does "as quickly as possible" mean? How close are they to fixing this problem? Will anyone from Fitbit leadership - CEO, CTO, Product, Marketing - ever acknowledge this and show some accountability? 

It's a waste of everyone's time to answer each question on forums when Fitbit knows there are problems that can't be solved by pointless troubleshooting.

I recently bought the Versa and I have been using the Message + app on my phone for years and prefer it over the message app.  I have a message + app on my computer that allows me to send text messages from my computer.  For this reason I would like the message + app to work.  If I set the message app as default it will work with my watch but I do not receive any message when the default app is set to message +.  Please help
