RESOLVED 6/13/18: Versa not getting Message+ msgs

I cannot get text notifications on my Versa if I use Message+ app. If I switch to Whatsapp, notifications work on my Versa. But not many of contacts use WhatsApp. Does anyone else use Message+ for texting? If so, does it work with your Versa? Screenshot

Hello. I have an Android phone and can receive every notification that I have set up except my text messaging. I ensured I have the correct messaging system picked and I also have the most updated software. I have also turned my Versa on and off. Thoughts?

I am so frustrated as I switched from the Fitbit Alta to the new Versa and love the watch but I'm really disappointed that Verizon is not syncing my message plus to my watch. They said they were working on the problem and I hope it is fixed soon or I will have to send my new watch back and go back to my Alta.

I did the same thing, dropped Message+, but I still get no text message notifications.  What did you switch to?

@MonaWood It's great to see that you've visited the Fitbit Community! At this time we don't have any updates but you can check this thread for any information. I do hope this is resolved soon for everybody and I know the team is working hard to fix this. When there is an update from the team you will see it posted there.

Mine hasn't worked since I got it either. Very frustrating as that is one of the reasons I like these. For the amount of money spent and this being a new one for fitbit...you would think everything would work correctly

This has been happening to me since the may update and it stinks.  As far as I can tell with my communications with Fit bit is they are aware of the problem.  Being aware doesn't mean solution though.  I have tried all the suggestions and nothing.  I don't think it is high on a priority list by the responses I get or don't get.  I thought the problem would have been resolved by now.  I have been telling my friends to give them time to fix it.  Been a month...i have lost patience and faith in getting it fixed.  I now have a fit bit that I don't really like.  I have not been recommending to my friends as I have in the past.

I had the charge 2 before this and it all of a sudden quit getting all
notifications, so this is why I upgraded to the versa. I still really like
it, but for $200 it should fully work. I agree with you that it should be
on top of their list as that is one of the features that I'm sure most
people enjoy about it...i know I would if it worked!

I have had two people ask about my versa.  And I told them I would wait because of the lack of texting notifications.

My message+ worked great until the may update. I could be outside and still get notifications from texts and now nothing from message+ so switched to messages and I have to be within so many feet of my phone to get a notification. I've been debating on returning mine as well. I've got the email to do it, I just have to mail it.

I have an Android phone and switched to Samsung's Messages app. You will
also have to log out of Verizon's Message+ app on all devices (cell,
tablet, laptop, etc) it does not work to simply switch default apps you
must log out on each and every device you were running Message+ on. Good
luck!

I tried this already and it didn't work.  Just trying to be patient for Versa update, hopefully sooner than later

Did you change your default texting app on your cell and in the Fitbit app to use Samsung's Messages app?

The problem is that I WANT to use messages + and I am super annoyed that
they have not fixed this yet!

Better yet. Give us the option to roll back the firmware to the version
that worked!

Thanks for letting us know it's being worked on @AlejandraFitbit.  I recently upgraded from a Charge 2 to Versa and have the same problem with Message+

 

Any timeline for when we can expect a fix?
