Really disappointed that I cannot track miles biking with my phone

If this product  can  GPS with walking then it should also have a bike GPS.  Also, it does not track miles on the device when biking. 

 

I am really disappointed in this product.  I have my phone with me and and it should be using the phone's  gps  and tracking this but it does not.   

 

How can I get the device to track mileage when using the biking exercise?

It isnt a feature I use, but it should track distance if you use connected GPS and the bike exercise from the exercise app. Distance is listed as one of the figures when I go there in the exercise app. I must try it our sometime! I just let it auto recognise bike as it does a great job of it and I dont need the distance particularly.
