Recco band for Versa 2

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I got the Recco Velcro watch band for Christmas. It falls off my wrist - the Velcro is not strong enough. I've tried cleaning it in case it was weakened by lint and fuzz, but it just doesn't stick together well, never has. We are outside the warranty and can't get a refund or exchange which is super disappointing. I've barely used it. Anyone have "hacks" on getting Velcro to do its job better? Anyone else have this problem?

Hi @StacyS2  Christmas of 2020? The bands have a one year warranty (USA).

If you're returning it for a refund, it's 45 days. The band is listed as having a one year warranty. So you might be able to get a replacement if you get back with them.

Fitbit customer support is doing their best, but right now be prepared for longer wait times. Please be patient. Support is limited by the number of representatives available at a given time and the hours of operation. Chat lines are open when they have live help.

I tried to do an exchange. They will only do like for like even though I was willing to get a less expensive replacement. Anyone thinking about getting the Recco Velcro band, don’t. It’s a poor design. It falls off the wrist. And the customer service experience I just had was poor. I was undecided on my next watch purchase but now I know it will be an Apple Watch, not a Fitbit.

An exchange is usually a like for like. You might want to ask them to escalate your case.
