Hello could someone please help me?

I've recently brought the Fitbit Versa and I'm having a bit of a connection issues where I will sync it and that'll work fine but then I'll go to try and set up Fitbit pay and it'll say that error registering Fitbit Versa with Fitbit wallet, error connecting please make sure your watch is in range and turned on.

Please if anyone knows help.

"Error registering Versa with Fitbit wallet" everything I try to do it gives me the same message (error connecting to versa. Make sure it's turned on and close by).

This is only available on the special edition Versa. I exchanged mine.
Loaded easily then.

Thank yes I know by his. I do have the special edition. I even doubled checked Incase they sent me the wrong one. I have the woven bands and it says Fitbit pay on the bottom of my watch.

I realized that last message was a little unclear but yes I know it’s limited edition only. I do have one. I have the rose gold and lavender special edition. It also says Fitbit pay on the back of the watch.

I had the same issue.  The only thing that worked for me was to uninstall the fitbit app from my phone and reinstall it.  It was a simple fix.  I hope it works for you too

Thank you. Unfortunately I’ve tried that. I even did a factory reset on both my phone and Fitbit it still won’t let me set up Fitbit Pay. I’m about to contact them to send it back and ask for a new one. They can’t seem to figure out why it’s not working either. I didn’t pay extra for a feature and not be able to use it.

Only the Vetsa limited Edition comes with the NFC chip. You could trade it in for a Versa Limited Edition .which is 30 dollars more but worth it.

Cbook I did and do have the limited edition. Fitbit ended up replacing my original watch. Something with my original watch wasn’t working. However they sent me a replacement and I’ve had zero issues. I love my watch. This post is an old one.

I'm getting this same error. I have the Fitbit Versa SE with fitbit pay and I can't set it up

Try this:

Go to fitbit.com using a browser NOT the app.

From the dashboard click on your photo icon on the right side at the top

Then click go to account settings.

Make sure United States is selected and save.  It's not selected by default sometimes.  And it needs to be selected in order for the fitbit pay to work.

Dear Alejandra, I'm not able to enter into wallet (I want to add a card). I have FB505 (with NFC). The PIN is correct and syncing is successful. Why am I not able to enter the wallet? How to continue, please?

I'm currently having the same problem, I don't if it's because my card has been cancelled though. Trying to remove the card but keep getting an error saying can't connect to fitbit

I have a versa 2 and have been using the wallet feature since day 1.  I went to add another card and the app kept crashing when opening the wallet feature.

I deleted and reinstalled, factory reset, and now get

Error Registering Versa 2 with Fitbit Pay Wallet

Error connecting to service, try again later.

I have the exact same issue, same chain of events.

I had the same issue. Factory resetting the Versa 2, re adding it to the Fitbit app then resetting the device PIN fixed the issue. It sucks, I had to setup everything again on the watch.

Just for everyone's awareness this was likely the answer to my issue as well. I had Fitbit paying working nicely since I set it up on my Sense. However, after the exercise app stopped working I did a factory reset on the watch and then I couldn't get Fitbit Pay back working again. I was getting the 'unexpected error' message during the verification. Following HeidiGirl's suggestion I logged into FitBit over the internet on my browser and selected my country of residence. For good measure while I was there was also a deactivate button which looked like it removed any existing information (I did this just in case there was some left over settings from the previous card set up). I suspect though, the card was failing on the verfication because my country wasnt set and when it went to send an sms auth code it didn't know what to do - including giving a reasonable error message like - 'I can't send a text' or 'problem with verification'.

Long story short - make sure you check the country of residence like HeidiGirl as suggested.
