Trying to set up Alexa on my Versa 2. When I get to "Login with Amazon" I get the message, "Are you sure you want to skip setting up Alexa" only choices are cancel and yes, skip. What am I not doing?

Welcome to the Community @thomkat01. Sorry for the delayed reply.

Thanks for the details mentioned. It's pretty weird that you're seeing only these options.

I would like you to log out from your Fitbit app and force quit it. After this, please make sure you're doing this procedure to set up Alexa on your Fitbit watch:

  1. From the Today tab

in the Fitbit app, tap your profile picture > your device image.
  2. Tap Amazon Alexa > Login with Amazon.
  3. Tap Get Started.
  4. Log in to your Amazon account or create one if necessary.
  5. Read about what Alexa can do, and tap Close to return to your device settings in the Fitbit app.

I'll be around if you need further assistance.

Thank you for your response, I'm not sure if not having Amazon open was part of the problem but I made sure it was open and it finally let me get through the setup.

I keep getting this message as well.  I followed the instructions to the previous user, no luck.  Just a loop.  I am logged into amazon alexa on my phone.  does not recognize my fitbit when I select add device. so frustrating.

Thank you for saying that you had Amazon open, that got me to check that amazon was working on my phone, it wouldn’t sign in on safari said an error had occurred, so logged into the amazon app, that logged in Ok. then Tried logging into amazon on safari.  that now worked. retried the versa connection and it went through fine. So in short was an issue signing into Amazon.
Check your sign in to Amazon is ok leave open once you’re signed in, redo your Fitbit Alexa link.

I have an iPhone with Fitbit app installed.

This is what was happening to me:

    - Selecting sign in with Amazon opened the Amazon app, but then brought me back again to the Fitbit app and asked me if I was sure I wanted to skip setup with Alexa/Amazon. It didn't matter if the Amazon app was open or closed prior to this.

This is what worked for me:

    - I realized I was already signed into the Amazon app. So I signed out of the Amazon app, went back to the Fitbit app and attempted the previous process again. This time it opened the Amazon app and asked me to sign in, after which it sent me back to the Fitbit app with a successful sign in.

I hope this helps anyone else that is still struggling to get it connected. 🙂
