Receiving notifications only during phone calls

For the last couple months my versa stopped notifying me of text messages UNLESS I am on a call which is really weird. It stopped working after the last update. My versa is only 1 year old and I am seeing many having text notification issues.  I have disabled bluetooth, reinstalled app on my Galaxy, rebooted versa, then allowed the app to turn on notifications and still no dice. I need help getting this to notify me of texts. I will not upgrade to the versa2 I just will be done with FitBit if they are unable to resolve this issue. If anyone has had this issue and know a fix please share.  I am at my wits end on this one...so irritated over this issue.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the details that were shared in your post, seems odd that you're receiving text notifications only when you're on a phone call. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know when was the first time you experienced such inconvenience and how many times since then?  If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check: How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device? to see that all the necessary requirements to receive notifications on your Versa are correctly configured.

 

After verifying the above, please try the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: My Fitbit device isn't receiving notifications from my phone and let me know how it goes.

I haven't been able to receive call notifications since two updates ago.  I reached out and all of the suggestions from Fitbit's representative was steps i already applied.  I'm in agreement with you; I will not be upgrading to the versa 2 because of these continuous issues.   I am so very sad.  I was excited to be apart of the versa family.

Yes, i have since gotten the latest Galaxy phone and low and behold now the text notifications work. I do wonder if companies stop creating updates for cellular phones they feel are out of date. Same happens for TVs. It is a method to get people to update. I got a new cell phone because internet was so slow but seems to have fixed my issue.

No fix i read worked but getting a new phone. I saw a ton of complaints for people who had a Galaxy 7 phone. I can only assume the latest fix that came out a few months ago did not take into account this version of phone and maybe on purpose. Either way with a new phone i have not had any issues but for those that still have an older model phone where text notifications DID work prior to a recent software update from FitBit please provide a fix. Not everyone plays the must have latest merry-go-round game of cell phones.
