The more I've googled this the more it seems like this recent update is the culprit to my exercising heart rate being WAY off, and also my resting heart rate climbing and staying a steady 3 over what it is. Sunday I was at the gym and my heart rate was on track while working out.. I did the update I think later that night or the next day and the last two times I've been at the gym it has been a heart rate of 100 to 120 max when I'm hitting at least 160 to 170. I've been seeing other people having this issue. I've only had the watch a year but I haven't done anything differently for it to not work anymore. I almost bought a new one too. I've tried everything, turning it on and off. Wiping it. Wearing it the face side down. Everything. I'd like this to be fixed. I bought this watch to help me keep track of workouts and calories burned and its almost useless to me now.

Same problem, and also it’s not syncing correctly. Mine has worked perfectly since I bought it in May until I ran that update.
I see in other posts where Fitbit is aware of the syncing issue with android users. I don’t see much acknowledgment of the issues with heart rate, or that there are syncing issues now with iPhone users, like me.
I tried all their suggested fixes, minus the factory reset because so many on here warned NOT to do that or it renders the Fitbit useless.
Hopefully a new update to reverse all this is coming very soon.

My heart rate has been lower than normal too. It’s very frustrating. I usually get a heart rate between 160 and 170 and mine has been much lower. It’s also counting steps wrong also. I hope they fix the issue soon.

Noted this right away after updating on Sunday and it’s actually improved some, but still way off compared to what it was before, and during peak bouts of exercise it can be off (low) anywhere from 15 to 75 BPM. Just crazy.
The only fix I can see with regards the device is that somehow the bug is identified by Fitbit and a new update is released.

Same!! I feel better finding this knowing that others are in the same boat. Was considering ditching my Versa for an Apple Watch (hear that @Fitbit ????) since it keeps giving me practically asleep heart rates while I’m doing jump lunges... I just want something to work reliably.

Same here, thank God I'm not alone, I was so confused, literally hammering through workouts and getting 120 bpm. I noticed earlier I was doing high impact work, lots of movement and it said I was at 89. Then I switched to slow weighted exercises at the end and it was accurate, at about 140 for 20 mins and then dropped back down. I was about to go off and buy another smart watch until I saw this, hopefully they fix it.

Same me too. Doing high intensity classes and always in the below blue zone. Hopefully fix the issue soon
