Recording on Strava via Fitbit Versa

Hi.

I have recently got a Fitbit Versa, as a means to record activity easier.

I want to record my activity on Strava, but when I go out and record my run on Fitbit, I cannot get it to read it on Strava.

 

Do I need to have both apps open and connected to allow that to happen? Can I upload runs to Strava if I only have my Fitbit watch on?

First you need to connect your Strava account to your Fitbit account.

Then you will need to record your runs with the connected GPS.

In addition if you open the Fitbit app and sync before turning the run tracking off, your heart rate should get transferred to Strava .
